Prayer of the Woods.
In this poem trees of the woods make an appeal to human beings not to harm them. They say that they are very useful for human beings in several ways. Woods from trees is burnt in the fireplaces and this provides warmth to human beings on cold winter nights. They also protect man from the summer sun by giving shades. They provide juicy fruits to travellers and satisfy their thist.
Wood from the forest is also used as beams to support the houseroofs. Wood is also used for making boards for tables and the covers for coffins dead person. Wood from the trees is also used for making handles of garden tools such as spade,hoe,doors for homes and candles. Woods inspire people with feeling of kindness and enjoyment of beauty. In other words, woods are very useful for men. So woods appeal to human beings not to harm them in any way.
